Introduction to Health Care Claim Status (276/277) 1/2 day seminar

This seminar introduces the purpose and scope of health care claim status inquiry and response which is one of the mandated transactions under federal regulations including HIPAA and ACA. Both the batch and interactive nature of the 276 and 277 transactions along with their expected response times will be reviewed. The seminar discusses the variability of the transaction data content along with the methodology for codifying the inquiries and their corresponding responses. This seminar also introduces other uses of the 277 which are not mandated under HIPAA (yet).

This seminar steps the attendees through the process of building a 276 Health Care Claim Status Request transaction and its corresponding 277 Health Care Claim Status Notification transaction.
